 Assam Forest Department Vacancy Details:


1. Forester-I

 No of posts: 144 [UR: 46, OBC/ MOBC: 23, SC: 7, STP: 29, STH: 25, EWS: 14]

 Pay: 14000-60500 + GP Rs.6400

Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or any Examination declared equivalent by the Government.
2. Stenographer Grade-III

 No of posts: 11 [UR: 3, OBC/ MOBC: 5, SC: 2, EWS: 1]

 Pay: 14000-60500 + GP Rs.8700

Educational Qualification: Graduate in any stream from a recognized College/ Institutions affiliated to a recognized University with having National Trade Certificate in stenography from ITI in Assam or any other institute recognized by the Govt. of Assam/Govt. of India with 80 WPM in English Stenography.
3. Forest Guard

 No of posts: 812 [UR: 397, OBC/ MOBC: 104, SC: 42, STP: 101, STH: 87, EWS: 81]

 Pay: 14000-60500 + GP Rs.5600

Educational Qualification: Higher Secondary (10+2) or equivalent examination passed from a recognized Board/ Council.
4. Surveyor

 No of posts: 35 [UR: 16, OBC/ MOBC: 10, SC: 3, STP: 1, STH: 2, EWS: 3]

 Pay: 14000-60500 + GP Rs.6200

Educational Qualification: HSLC or equivalent examination passed and must have certificate in Draftsmanship from a recognized Institute.
5. Mahut

 No of posts: 28 [UR: 18, SC: 3, STH: 4, EWS: 3]

 Pay: 14000-60500 + GP Rs.5000

Educational Qualification: Class VIII or equivalent and must have minimum 3 (three) years experience in elephant up-keeping.
6. Carpenter

 Educational Qualification: HSLC or equivalent examination passed and must have trade certificate from recognized Institution.
7. Driver

Educational Qualification: HSLC or equivalent examination passed and must have valid four wheeler driving license issued by the any Competent Authority of Assam.
Age limit :
a) Forester-I & Stenographer Grade III: Candidate should not be more than 38 years and less than 21 years of age as on 1st January, 2020 (candidate must be born on or before 01-01-1999 and on or after 01-01-1982).

b) Forest Guard, Surveyor, Mahut, Carpenter & Driver: Candidate should not be more than 38 years and less than 18 years of age as on 1st January, 2020 (candidate must be born on or before 01-01-2002 and on or after 01-01-1982) .
Upper Age Limit Relaxation:

i) 05 (five) years in case of candidates belonging to SC, ST (H) & ST (P).
ii) 03 (three) years in case of candidates belonging to OBC/MOBC.
